Day out

I should have been going to see Avril Lavigne in concert tonight (I should be there right now) but sadly things didn't quite work out.

So I invited The Guy down, and I left him in bed to go visit my nan... Got home at 1pm to find him still in bed lol. My baby doesn't sleep so well - in fact I went to bed late (11pm is late for me!) and I remember hearing him up still at 1am. But it was somewhat fun to burst into the room, open curtains and the windows as the weather was gorgeous and sunny dispite a slight hiccup with some light showers about 11.15am ish. Then to jump on the bed, accidentally squashing him as I'm so accident prone it's unfunny and saying rather loudly: "IT'S TIME TO GET UP"... only because I was up at 8.30 thanks to my internal body clock which is in this routine where I'm up early - although did have a lie in this morning hehe - and I'm just jealous. Then I got asked why I didn't wake him sooner, bless.

We went to the Forest this afternoon after drooling over all the houses on MTV Cribs.

Some coffee for him, and some Apple Juice and flapjack for meeee.

We took my camera and got some awesome shots... Which make me super happy because I have cool pics to put in the scrapbook, and my baby is getting a GREAT eye for those pictures, and some of these he took of me just melt my heart :) I have some sweet shots of me to put in my Book Of Me. It's going to be so much fun having another photographer around here to share my passion, methinks :)

(and look at the length of my haaaaaaaaaair. I can't wait to have it cut off, although I love it and I know I'll miss it when it's gone... It's annoying the heck out of me and needs to be cut off.)

and someone's doggy came running up to me for some fuss. Oh! sooooooooo cute!

Random

Saw this post from Cathy with a snippet of a layout, and saw the litte round chipboard frame and saw how cute it all looked together. Then got super excited as I have that exact frame, so I can do something similar. WOO!!!

Head a little buzzed out right now. Waaaaay too much information to be processed within all of 4 hours, so I doubt I'll be sleeping much tonight. Why is there always a damn snag in the road?

Pages :)

Just a couple of pages to start filling that album. I plan on uploading them all to photobox and having them printed at 8x8 :) You get discount for the more you print, so that will be handy!

Coffee Lover

Think I may add a little journalling to the Coffee Lover page. I loooooooooove how the title came out. Wasn't until I was sat at my computer that I realised it was scrap your day. Doh!

Scrap Your Day (+ bento)

Just a quick post, the guy is still in bed - didn't sleep very well last night after our trip to the cinema to watch the new Indiana Jones film. Was about 1am before I got to bed anyway, don't know when he did lol.

Shimelle's posted up another photo fact sheet for the upcoming "Scrap Your Day" (very much like the old Daily Grind!) Her latest blog post "On Film" has all the links you require. I hope I remember to participate lol.

Bento for 23/05/08
My Bento from yesterday. My chicken wrap was a disaster lol. But yummy all the same.

I'm off for some coco pops, I'm quite hungry but I want to wait til the guy gets up til we wander to Jane's Pantry and get CAKES (my old Saturday tradition) so cereal will keep me going, we're not going to my nan's today, he's not ready to meet the whole family quite yet lol. At the moment it's lovely and sunny outside, but as usual the weather has been really nice since the Tuesday after the last bank holiday - then we get another bank holiday and the weather is going to be raining. Curse you British weather! I wanted to go to a damn beach!

Bento update

Just a quickie, I'm off for a bath and sort myself out for the evening ready to snuggle down on the sofa to watch Reaper (Yaaaay, picked up for 13 more episodes next year - I can't WAIT!)

So I'm totally loving the Bento thing :) Yesterday it was a case of just grabbing whatever I had to hand at the time - it was like I had a McDonalds yesterday haha... well minus the fries. I got up and cooked chicken nuggets especially.

Rushed Bento 20/05/08

I apologise for crappy mobile phone picture, for some reason I didn't have my cybershot on me and it was the only camera I had on me as I was about to eat.

Now for tomorrow's (as I went shopping today :) )
Bento for 22/05/08

Salad, nuts and raisins (mixed nuts, specifically non salted/seasoned), grapes, raw carrots with dip and Toblerone.

There's notes on the photos if you click on them to go to its Flickr page.

And finally before I nip off, here's a budget album tip and super easy to customise! All you need: pack of 8x8 album pockets/sleeves (the ones you slip your layouts into) and 2 sheets of 12x12 cardstock.
Measure cardstock (I did this by eye) to fit your sleeves nicely. then just cut one section off your cardstock - both sheets the same ;) that's the only cut you need to do, yay! Then you just need to fold and punch holes so your album looks a little like this from the side:
Side view

and voila! One super cool -and cheap - customised album :)

(lol, Miss Mint's Rainbow Joy Embellies are in the first pocket - I printed them, and added them to the front cover too. I plan on it being a digi album once I'm done.)

First Picture of us... and Pink Paislee love!

me and the guy:
Me and The Guy
Lol, he loves my camera - quite fancies getting into photography, so I promised I will teach him :)

Anywho, I have to be brief - I gotta dry my hair and get down my parents within the next 10 minutes - yeah so not going to happen, but I live in hope lol!
My Laptop Lunchbox arrived. Loving the fork and spoon set it's so cute!

*drools* This is the Pink Paislee stuff I mentioned the other day... I'm so in LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE. I look forward to the summer lines, and hope that Angel Crafts do a kit of those too :)

Going a-hunting...

Can I just say how awesome Retrology is? Jhuzen Ketsugo hosts the most amazing hunts ever, I participated during the Easter Egg hunt, and yesterday I had a go at the Rose Hunt. You can see I have some awesome new hair from Calla as well. Now I have a cool short do when I surf, and nice long hair for parties and such with a colour changing hair slide to match what I wear. Awesomeness. (gotta love the "GAS" sign in the back too lol :)

Snapshot_004

Now I only found 6 so far, and I doubt I'll be able to find anymore before it finishes. Which is a poo, but I found the amazing Rose outfit that Jhuzen is modelling in her blog post! A guy was dressed up in it as I was dancing on the dancefloor with Jhuzen and Draco Tatsu and if you said hello back to him after he said it to you he'd give you money lol. It's a place I'd certainly recommend checking out, lots to see and do there, and of course - awesome shops.

Oh and to continue from my Bento loving yesterday as I sat at work today with my broken tupperware box I was thinking about getting a nice bento box... I eyed up a Monokuro Boo bento box and a Blue Dragonfly one in ebay yesterday but I really wanted something with compartments and cutlery as opposed to chopsticks lol. But I decided to wait to see what I could find as a girl on the Eat My Bento community had a lovely yellow set...
Well if you know me at all, you know I don't wait very well - incredibly impatient me - and in the end I bought this Bento Laptop Lunch this evening :) LOL! I thought it was a pretty good deal seeing as I got all what I wanted - the box and cutlery.... and I got a sleeve and ice pack and a book with lunch ideas too! There's an American version of the site as well and they do a bag version with water bottle instead of the sleeve and icepack. So hopefully once it arrives I'll be able to post some super pictures like these ones at Flickr's Laptop Lunches pool.

Chocolate Chops

Chocolate Chops lol

Emily at nan's looking up at me by the door.

Royal Wave

She also has the cutest "royal wave" - just like the Queen lol!

lauren

Lauren: "Oh no - it's that crazy lady again, with a camera for a face!"

------------------------------------------
and to share some stuff I'm loving right now:
Unphotographable. A fantastic idea, especially for scrapbookers simply because you cannot take a photo of everything - but just because of this doesn't mean a great moment or event needs to be forgotten just because there is no photo.
Pinkpaislee. I've been following Holly McCaig for quite sometime, and even went through a phase where I only purchased Holly's digital kits. I absolutely love her work - from her digital kits to her photography, and when I saw she was doing actual paper products I saved and waited and this week I finally got her Office Lingo line... and I adore it. Can't wait to scrap!
Two Peas Creating Garden. Love love love. Full of inspiration. And I just can't help but drool over the mini books section. Because I am a sucker for minibooks.
Bento. Yes I am a fussy eater, but I'm loving the idea. Cute looking, healthy packed lunchboxes. I've added the EAT MY BENTO LJ community to my bloglines so I can catch up on stuff, and although cookingcute.com hasn't been updated in a while is still so worthwhile checking out. I'm currently browsing the blueberryland store thinking how awesome it would be to have a cute bento box :) Maybe someday soon.

Bank Holiday

In typical fashion, the bank holiday had terrible weather. It was really weird up Painswick Beacon to see the clouds below.
clouuuuuuuuuds
But it got super weird when the mist started to make its way up the beacon. I started to freak out at one point because nothing looked as it did on the journey up...Lol, I’m such a doofus at times. But I had to get out, I wasn't feeling too well. Don't know why I thought going to McDonald's for a Happy Meal for lunch was a great idea either, but I seem ok now so fresh air and food must have done the trick :)

And I got the opening page of my Book Of Me (part 2) done. It was nice to spend some time on me, doing stuff I wanted to do creatively. The photobooth strip is from pinkinkstudios.net (of which you can't appreciate the super coolness of it unless you see for yourself the overlay effect), and the super cool paper and stars are by "express yourself DIY". Blinging :)

couple of jobs done...

I've managed to tidy up a little around here lol. The Guy stayed a couple of days, and I was so tired on the night he left but I stayed awake as long as I could so we could savour our time together as it's rare as he lives so far away and he works odd shifts. I told him to text me when he got home but to ring a few times and hang up as I always sleep straight through any texts! So he texts and rings and I wake up as I went straight to bed once he left, and I grabbed my phone (this was just gone midnight) and began texting back. Next thing I know I'm waking up, it's 5am and my phone is still in my left hand with half a text typed out on it! Whoops! It's really hard to see him go :(

I'm about just over half way through the photos. Stewart & Claire's invites are all done, Little something-something put in the post and Lianne's Jewels is up and running with a couple of things up in the shop, hurrah. It seems I'm catching up with things which means I can also finally so some more of Shimelle's "there's no place like home" class which I kinda done the first week of and haven't yet caught up on. Poo.
