... and a fun night was had by all!

fun pose!

Stewart was originally in his wedding suit, and Claire her wedding dress, but as the night progressed they both changed - although Stewart was the first one to change lol!
It was seriously a great night :) Bit bummed out that someone managed to get what I can only suggest is a big cola stain on the white linen guestbook I made. Dad is helping me to get it out with some upholstery cleaner, so fingers crossed. Mum cried when I took it to my nan's house to show everyone. It was the first time she saw it. Everyone said I should have been so proud of it, but I was kinda nit-picking at things. When you make something yourself you notice all the little flaws in it cos you know it's there lol. But no one else noticed luckily.

My photobooks came yesterday too and were a big hit. Mum and dad have theirs and Stewart has stolen mine so he can carry it around with him easily and have all the photos with him to show people. I think he suggested we buy another one lol, so maybe the new one will be mine this time lol!

I bought a gorgeous wedding album from WH Smiths as well (cost quite a heck of a lot, but I didn't get S&C a wedding present, so this and their scrapbook will be their present from me), and the plan is to meet with Claire's parents to exchange wedding photos, so I can put some of theirs into S&C's album too. Dad got a really candid one of me, Stewart and Claire before everyone started getting ready for the wedding. We're all sat, my eyes glued to the TV. I think we were watching something on MTV about Transformers movie... otherwise Stewart had just changed the channel and we were sat watching Jimmy Neutron on Nickelodeon.

Busy... again (do I ever stop?)

Ok, in my defence you cannot really see them properly in this one...

Photos arrived!

Yup, the photos arrived and just need to be put into an album. Once I find one. The book you see in that picture is the guestbook I'm working on. A completely blank canvas on which to work... I just hope people don't mind that I am not sitting at the computer and designing lined pages for them to fill in as well! I'm simply doing photo pages and the rest is up to wedding party guests, but I am designing the pages and will be running the pages through the printer. This is why I picked up a spiral bound book - you can take out pages and put them back in again.

I wonder if I consciously take on a ton of stuff to do. It's all I ever post about - being really busy lol. I've got quite a bit done, and I'm just waiting for the photobooks to arrive, need to finish the guestbook and put photos into an album when I get one, mark them up with numbers, get some order forms done so people can tell me which ones they want. I'm charging them at cost. Basically if it costs me 15p per 6x4 print, that's what I'm asking for from people. I had quite a shock at one photographer when I was being nosey at print prices - £5 for a 6x4!

Anyway, I've got to do some more and grab some food before I head out to my parents. Stewart should be home any time now :) I text him earlier to wish him a safe journey home. I hope he enjoyed his honeymoon - and I can take the pictures over to show them too!

I've got a new toy

I often look over the blog of photographers for The Image Is Found, and came across the actions they use for their photos: Get Totally Rad. They have a little section "Download Sample", so that's what I did and I have 3 actions... 1 of which I am magically in love with...

I need those actions *sniff*

Obviously photos from the wedding last Saturday. I have roughly scanned through the photos and have uploaded just a few for friends and family only to view. None have been proofed at all, minus the odd one or two that have been lightened, and these 3 I picked specifically because no one was in them and I could post freely, as I won't have time just yet to ask them to go through and pick which, if any, I can post here and on my photography site. They wouldn't go for our idea of being in the local paper which kinda bummed me out - I'd have loved to have seen "photography by Kirsty Base" under a wedding photo of my brother and new Sister-in-law in our local paper! I have also yet to even think of starting that DVD for nan in the morning! YIKES!!

Minor problem lol!

Uhhh, yeah dunno what quite happened with the site. I've changed the theme temporarily til I can sit down this weekend and sort of figure out what on earth happened.

My main priority tomorrow, after work, is to sit and make a DVD for my nan who was unable to see Stewart get married... I promise I will post pictures etc, but I need to ask for Stewart and Claire's permission first - Claire (and Stewart actually) rather hate having their pictures taken, so I think it only fair to ask them first. And let them pick which ones I can use for my site lol!

I'm alive

Just a quick post really. Only been checking e-mails and stuff when I've come online and I've not been staying on for too long either.

I'm just using this time to relax, but I am here lol. Today was a little hectic, but it's calmed down again and I'm off for an early night lol. Will post again soon.

Panic mode

Ever get the feeling things creep up on you? Like there isn't enough time in the world? I apologise for the absolute randomness of this post. It's just to say I'm here and alive - but it may be a while before I next update. Have no fear!

Yes it's 7.40am and I've been sat at my computer for the last 40 mins and things STILL aren't done. I need to dust, vaccum and tidy up around here too, and dinner at my parents although I won't stay long if I can help it. The Guy says I have major OCD lol, and it kinda freaks me out... I'm surprised I'm not in a fit of blind panic by now having to breath into my little brown paper Primark bag. And the Ironing! I still have ironing to do! But I must think of the sense of achievement when I do it AND put it all away :)
I still feel quite ill too. My poor throat is still on the sore side... I can't breathe through my nose either. Curse you hayfever!
My iPod is co-operating today, yesterday it was lagging my computer up and took me 25 mins to add just 5 songs to it, so that shouldn't take me too long to do.

Back to the dreaded work place tomorrow. I really AM off my head. Lots of things are changing and as always, I'm out of the loop.
