"welcome home"

On the third of October I left the flat & went to work, when I finished I went home... to the house. It was a crazy day and I felt helpless at work while my dad, brother & husband moved everything. I am so grateful to my parents and my brother and his wife for this opportunity. I would have no doubt lost my flaming mind in that flat for much longer! As I pulled up in my car a bit worried about driving my car on to the drive in the garden for the first time, I heard in my head the recording of the guy on the Disney buses when he says "and welcome home".

We still have quite a way to go: Ikea delivery this Thursday - Dylan is going to have a wardrobe! I am excited to claim some space back in my 3 drawers! Things have been a huge squeeze in there with his clothes as well especially as we are getting 2-3 year old clothes for him now, and his 12-18 month clothes no longer fit, some of the 18-24 months stuff is a bit hit and miss. (Thankfully my sister in law left some of the boys clothes at the house for us!) PLUS we are getting a kallax for the dining room for toy storage. Things are coming together and once we have the new sofa and the wall units are purchased and put up and I have got my little craft nook for a spot of scrapbooking that I haven't done in so so long (in Dylan's album, he's not been born yet!) then I will start to feel a little more settled.

That and I still have a ton of KonMari to do. But baby steps at the moment.

Speaking of baby steps, my little monkey has actually gone for a nap, hence the blog post! I haven't had some "me time" in months! Trying to squeeze in some telly catch up too!

So how is the cherub...?

UntitledStill causing mischief. He turned 2 on Sunday 11th, the day before we had a mini tea party and Gareth's family came to visit as I finished work at 1pm, and then on Sunday I was working 10 till 4, so he got his Miles toy before I went to work and his cards to open and he stood with a giant grin on his face watching him on the telly, Miles toy in hand. I am loving our new kitchen too. There is so much SPACE! I took the opportunity to bake with Dylan (I say that pretty loosely, I gave him the whisks from the hand mixer to lick to keep him quiet!) and we made some banana loaf with some bananas that didn't get eaten from the party.

UntitledI picked up this book from the library and look forward to making some stuff from here too: Untitled

Dylan just loves being outside though, so for as long as it is dry I am sure we will be wrapping up warm and heading out in the garden ^_^

I will do a short blog post soon about my first attempt with my cup, it was quite funny really, plus I have some fluffy mail on the way as I need more pads (one of them is a spiderman one!) so I can show pictures :D
